You'll notice that over this and the next issue we're devoting a lot of space to the Copy Guitar Test. In a way this is a survey of guitars - but not in the way that you're probably used to the term 'survey' in musicians' magazines. You've probably had the experience of hacking your way through a dense undergrowth of non-information thinly disguised as 'in depth look', or whatever the current phrase is. More usually these 'features' are a feeble excuse to pad out the advertising pages of the guilty organs. But as SI we're about information. So we did our best to find a way of presenting a 'survey' in a way that is actually useful. Read the Copy Guitar Test in the two issues and tell us whether we're right or not.
