Article from One Two Testing, March 1984

More reviews, more news, more features and more interviews pack out the usual bumper number of One Two.

But this month we've also taken a sizeable chunk at the back of the magazine to tell the story of the Fender Stratocaster, a staggering 10 years old this month.

The Strat, virtually unchanged in its three decades, has survived – prospered, even – on its versatility and on the strength of the original design by Leo Fender and his collaborators.

Inside, we look at the Strat from all angles. We consult a history book or two, talk to players about the Strat now, take care of customising and maintenance, and watch the Strat's effect on other makers.

We also review some of Fender's newest Japanese Strats - and then invite you to win one.
